Previously, I worked at the BBC for ten years; primarily for the BBC World Service and BBC News Channel.
 
Before working as a TV anchor, despite having no farming background, I ran my own farm. I supplied Michelin starred restaurants around the UK. I trained as a butcher and worked in an abattoir.  It's perhaps little surprise therefore that I continue to have an active interest in rural affairs and environmental issues.
